The Realtek SDK4 'Casablanca' GUI is much more attractive than previous versions whilst the Realtek 1055 chipset offers comprehensive format support along with a nice boost in power from running at 500Mhz (as opposed to the older Realtek's 400Mhz).

 

The unit itself is well engineered and has a good remote. The user interface is very quick in operation and the player boots in less than 10 seconds. Full 7.1 channel HD-Audio is supported (both downmix+passthrough). If you can live without networking then this player does it all at a very low price.
